Since 2003 I have been helping people become financially independent through property investing so that they can choose how they spend their time.
I purchased my first property back in 1995 when I started work for Cadbury Ltd in Birmingham as a graduate trainee. I continued to build my property portfolio to the point where at the age of 32 I was financially independent. I now have a multi-million pound property portfolio in my own name and also several SPVs which contain my development projects.
In 2003 I set up the property investors network (pin) which has now grown to be the largest network of monthly property meetings (50 around the UK) for anyone interested in successful property investing. We provide a friendly, positive and supportive environment for you to learn more about property investing. We don’t sell any property at pin meetings, but instead teach you how to invest to maximise your return and minimise the risks.
I have recently agreed a sale of this business to Roger Hamiltion’s Genius Group, soon to be floated in an IPO on the New York Stock Exchange, and so I have decided to step back from my other business interests, so that I can focus on a smooth transition of this sale and the continued growth of pin, including internationally. I will remain CEO of property investors network for the next three years.
I am the author of Property Magic, first published in 2008, and now in its sixth edition also available in Audio format. Property Magic is an international best seller with over 100,000 copies in circulation.
I am still actively investing in property, albeit mainly larger development projects. It was whilst doing these project that I discovered how challenging it can be to raise finance for these projects from traditional sources, even for successful investors. In 2013 I co-founded CrowdProperty which is a property project lender authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. CrowdProperty is the UK’s leading specialist property project online lending platform and has lent over £100million to UK SME property developers, funding the development of over 1,200 homes and over £80million spend in the UK economy.
